Work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.Actively work to improve safety in all machine operations and daily activities.Maintain the lab area, continuously keeping it clean and in good order with tools stored in proper location when not in use.Effectively communicate with internal department team as well as leaders and operators on the production lines and in other departments.Assist in the processing and analysis of claim samples.Use approved PPE and safety equipment where required, including when handling materials in excess of 400 degrees Fahrenheit.The provision of relief support requires the Lab Technician to perform various duties on the manufacturing lines. Ensure continued operation of manufacturing line by providing relief support during the breaktimes and/or other absences of line operators.Follow all testing procedures, protocols, and policies. Analyze and document test and inspection data, including computer entry of data and the maintenance of control charts. Utilize physical testing equipment, which may include general hand tools, forklifts, scales, ball & ring softening point tester, penetrometer, viscometer, moisture analyzer, manual flashpoint tester, tear tester, desaturates, cutting boards, tensile tester, and other lab equipment.Collect, transport, inspect, and test samples of various raw materials and finished goods.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
